Hi sorry for starting a new thread when thetre are already so many that answer these questions I will ask, but I've read many different answers.

My 2 kids both have a Slim DS (not a DSi).

I am reading up on what card is best and why etc. I hoped some of the more experienced NDS peeps could help me out please.

1 - What is the best card ?
(acekard from what I've read ?)

2 - How do you play GBA roms on it ?
(do you buy another card "slot two EZ Flash 3 in 1", or is there a software solution using the acekard ?)

3 - Where is a good place to buy 2 of these online, I'm in the UK.
(I've saw somne shops sell "fakes")

4 - What homebrew is good ?
(I hoped for something that plays mp3's, ebooks, maybe movies and other emulators etc, recommendations ?)

Thanks in advance to anyone that can give some advise on this because I intend on ordering them online in the next day or so.

(do you buy another card "slot two EZ Flash 3 in 1", or is there a software solution using the acekard ?)

3 - Where is a good place to buy 2 of these online, I'm in the UK.Dealextreme or GBATEmps recommended sites

1.Acekard,M3,Cyclo,or w8 for the Supercard DSTWO,your pick

4.Moonshell 2 plays music,dpg videos,and picture.DSTWO can read ebooks,or use andspdf(super slow).Lameboy nice GB and GBC emulation,nesDS for nes,snemulds for SNES,and etc.
EDIT:you make it seem like this is PSP,no you can't hack the DS(well kinda, not the point) and flashcarts do the talking

Try the GBAtemp affiliated sites. Your assumptions were all correct, but note that it's called a DS Lite, not a slim DS

lol, one of my kids told me that after I posted and added that I sound like a dad

The acekard2 does seem to be the best out just now imho.

Thanks for the speedy answers you guys rule. I'm reading up on "DSTWO can read ebooks" (my wee lassie loves HP books) and the AKAIO just now, but will check back here if I have more questions.

I do have more questions regarding coding my own apps for the DS but will wait until I get hold of them first, the kids both have a Wii so I will need to do all the learning with what's cool linking them up, and whats got sources available etc for me to play with.

you want to make homebrew go search palib tutorial

So....

Acekard 2i + slot two EZ Flash 3 in 1 + AKAIO + moonshell + Ands-pdf "seems" to be best.

Just gotta find a good store that ships to the UK without a long wait and I'm sorted.
Thanks for the amazingly quick response to my n00b questions and no flaming

i can give you a reliable place to buy in the UK if you want it, i have used the site on many occassions with no problems,

pm me if you would like the link

8GB Micro SD Card - £18.95 - http://www.wii-chip.co.uk/products/8GB-Micro-SD-Card.html

AceKard 2i For NDS & DSi - £18.95 - http://www.wii-chip.co.uk/products/AceKard...DS-%26-DSi.html

EZ-FLASH 3 in 1 expansion pack for NDS,NDSL [EZv3in1] - £13.60 - http://www.depot888.com/ezflash-expansion-...ndsl-p-757.html

TOTAL = £51.50 each. So 2 for £103 (plus p&p for the EZ1in3 which is £17.96) (wii-chip.co.uk does free shipping in the UK 1-5 days) So the REAL price is = £121 ish

or.... hmm...

AK2i Revolution+8GB MicroSD TF Card Package [AKD2i8G] - £23.93 - http://www.depot888.com/ak2i-revolution8gb...kage-p-747.html

This with the EZ 1in3 above would make the TOTAL = £37.53. So 2 for £75.06. With Express Post (Arrive in 5 to 14 days) add £21.95 so the real total cost = £97 ish

Still looking though.

Is depot888 a good reliable site ? seems be be exactly the same site as earlydepot.com

If you want to read ebooks on your DS try DSlibris. It reads epub format and you can easily convert your PDF's to epub using Calibre.

EDIT:I believe that AceKard 2i Revolution you mentioned is a clone. Not sure though.

Thanks y'all for the good advise and the couple of pm's offering good advise too.

All ordered, couldn't find a better deal anywhere. Now just some reading to do on what is what in the world of DS.

Is there a wiibrew type site for the DS ? I found www.ndshb.com but it doesn't have that much is there a better site with more apps ? btw this is not an important question so just ignore me
