Hi,
I've just got the EZFlash Omega this week.
I've updated to the latest firmware and I've had a few save file issues.
These are new games that I have not played on it before, so it's not an issue where I did not wait long enough for the save file to be written as I haven't been able to get this far.

The 2 games that I've encountered this on so far are Zelda A Link To The Past And Yoshi's Island.

I've only tried about 8 games so far, so I can't say just yet how many games this appears to be happening for.

Anyhow - as soon as I start Yoshi I get the error, and on Zelda, it's after I put in my name and it then goes to look at existing saves.

(I had some pcs but I can't post links to them as I'm a new member)

Anybody got any suggestions ? Thanks !

Hi,
I'm not saving the game - this happens on Yoshi as soon as the game starts, and the game will go no further
I have not even been able to play a game.

In Zelda, I get to language select and I then get to enter my name, then the game gives the error for each of the 3 save slots - again, I have not even got to the game itself.

No worries - thanks for trying though.
Someone else may have another suggestion, in the meantime I'll see if I can get another version of the ROMs like you suggest

What's the MD5/SHA of your ROM files? Are you coming from a different flash cartridge like the EZ Flash IV? If you are re-using ROMs they may not work as the EZ Flash IV used to patch the ROM files to get saving to work.

Hi,
They are actually quite an old romset I had, so that could be it.
Here's the details of Zelda (from the Mac command line MD5 command):

MD5 (0883 - The Legend Of Zelda - A Link To The Past (E)(Cezar).gba) = 623bd6af417ed48b5dbbfd19e78a80d9

i'd try different ROMS, from the No-Intro set.

You were right ! It was the ROM dump I was using - I got a clean one for Zelda and it works !

Thanks for the help - hopefully this will help someone else also !
