Hacking Some question

Hi, I'm new here and I need some help.
I'm planning to buy a DSTT for my sis and recently I heard there are fake, so I'm a little worried. So, some question:

1) Do fake one screw your DS/DSL or your SD ? I'm thinking about testing the DSTT with my micro SD card with firmware 1.16 which I think it have anti-fake and if it's fake, will it screw up ?

2) Should I order it from internet or look for one in store ? I heard there are some site selling fakes.

well, according to dstt site, the firmware will damage fake carts, and micro sd but not the DS. So at least there is some assurance. However, you shouldn't take that as a always the case. Just becareful. Make sure you buy one from a good store. ONline there are many and prices varied. Just make sure you have the warranty that if fake they will replace you with real one.

But an Acekard 2 instead. It's a better flash cart for only $5 more, and there are no fakes.
