I've spent over an hour and a half toying around in compiling the DLDI, bootloader, and firmware for the DSPico through WSL. I made sure to patch the bootloader NDS file using the DLDI, encrypt the NDS file with the blowfish tables, and compile the cart's firmware.

After flashing the DSPico in BOOTSEL mode and copying Pico-Launcher and Pico-Loader to a freshly formatted 8GB microSD card, inserting the cartridge into my modded 3DS, and launching the DSPico icon, I was greeted by an error message that states that it failed to read the SD card, despite following every instruction carefully.

I would like to know if there's something I did wrong. My flashcart came from WoodBeyond if that gives you a clue.

DSpico (and some other flashcarts) are a bit picky when it comes to SD cards. it might work with another SD
I tried another microSD card and that seems to work alright now. Thanks, at least it wasn't me missing a step to patch the bootloader with the DLDI.

Is your micro SD card formatted in FAT32? If not, format it to FAT32 and then copy the kernel files.

Yep, it was formatted to FAT32 like every flashcart should, and then copied the Pico-Launcher files. Turned out, that, it was the SD card that had dirty contacts, and after cleaning it then trying different cards out, it worked.
