alright, trying to work on my brothers wii, and it seems that port 0 of the wii is not working. i tried the thumb drive in my wii, and it works perfectly fine and the drive shows up in the other port on his wii(used wiimc to check both ports). tried going back to cios 36 rev 10, cus I read it allows for port 1 playing, but during net install i get error 1017. so that was a bust. any and all suggestions and help is much appreciated

also the drive did in fact play on his wii beforehand, only a month after last played.

I believe d2x-alt supports port 1. You can install d2x-v10-beta53-alt using ModMii (on Page 4, type BETA for the d2x beta settings) and use a loader that supports port 1.

seems that is for vWii so im guessing it wont exactly work with normal wii?

edit--
just tried using Uloader and keep getting 1017 on install, read it means trucha bug not installed. but it is, otherwise I wouldnt have been able to use usb loading in the first place on his wii. so now I have to figure out how resign trucha.

also all the tutorials on how to do this have dead links
