Softmodded Xbox Please help

Ok So I have already softmodded Xbox, years ago. I want to upgrade HD to 1tb sata. I Already purchased the pata to sata board and the hard drive.

Questions:

1. Do I need to upgrade my softmod
2. How do I upgrade softmod
3. What steps do i need to take to install a 1tb hard drive

You'll need to use Chimp to clone/copy the C drive to the new harddisk.

Do you remember how you softmodded it?

Also, what dash are you running and what version?

Dash doesn't matter, nor the matter on how it's softmodded.

If it's got a TSOP flash or chip, then it's just a matter of plonking the new drive in and running Slayers.
Otherwise, Chimp it is (special 1.6 version for 1.6 xboxes)

Thanks, I didn't know that how it's soft modded doesn't affect it.

I was curious about the dash version because he said he wanted to "update" the soft mod, and I wanted to see if he had the latest version. I soft modded mine back in the day, and just did 4 original Xboxes last week so I researched a lot recently to find out what has changed. Thought I may be able to help

Barely anything has changed.
All game exploits work on the last dash, all softmod files are also updated to work on the last dash.
Other then alternative dash updates (which, haven't seen the light since '07 orso) there isn't much to update.
