Tried upgrading from Riiski to Softmii 0.9.5 but semi bricked, got it working again with anyregion changer and reloaded riiski (working again), but I used the 00000042 ntsc file from the 0.9.0 release because I didn't get it in the 0.9.5 release, just the 45 was there. Would that have done it? I had the same symptoms as the other person who had the black screen, but I had no channel menu either. Just wondering if there was a difference in the old 42 file or more appropriately, can it be used with the .9.5 release? Oh, i did reboot like the instructions said after the softmii tweak.

Uh, do I need preloader for the hacks? I just want three or four things. A new health warning screen, play backups through disc channel even when I power wii off and on, unlocked disc channel to move it wherever I want, and maybe the 002 fix. So, how do I install these and which ones are they in the rar?

Wad 03 or 04, one of them causes a semi-brick. And you can get .42 from DD's sig or you can just use the regular health menu (Just don't follow the instructions to replace it)

OK i have a NOOB question and yes I have read all the posts in this thread and I did a google search local on GBATEMP and on the web and I can not find the answer to my question. I did the update from Riskmii to Softmii. and all is working fine except the Health warning screen is totally black. I have download all of DD's apps.

I have loaded then one at a time to my SD card and I installed only one at a time using the SoftMii Tweak and I still get a black screen at start up no matter if if load in daisy or pirate or whatever. I have no idea at this time what I am doing wrong so any help would be appreciated. So let the flaming begin as I know it has to something either simple or stupid that I am doing. Thanks

I need to clarify my post. My Wii works great I just do not get a custom health screen. Once the black screen times out thw Wii boots to its systemmenu and all is well. My question should be why do I not get the custom health screen but a black screen. Thanks

I'm still getting that "Exception (ISI) occured" error. I even tried re-doing Phase 2 in the read me.

I'm getting this error too. Does anyone know why it happens?

I've tried everything I can think of and I'm still getting it. Please help.

have you installed preloader? Also having health screens down pat and safe if healthii is unable to solve its ntsc issues i will write a tutorial for changing health screens by hand, success rate 100% so far

Turn the Wii off, hold reset and power on, settings/systemmenu you should see all you hacks for Preload, see if you enable Health Screen hack or if you have it. If you don't have one search this tread about 8 pages back for a flawless NTSC hack .ini list I posted.

If you mean read speed, No this is and always has been a firmware issue. bootmii may change that at some point but short of someone getting a decrypted dump of the firmware in the meantime it isnt going to happen

this is really cool. so many people coming together to get some kick ass screens on the wii.

i am probably going to upgrade riiskimod to softmii tomorrow. i know to start at phase 3 and since i got the old preloader v 0.25 I need to use the hack remover 1st, then install preloader v 0.26.

just some questions before i get to the step: does my wii auto reboot after hack remover? do i need to reboot it after hack remover? and do I reinstall the cIOScorp?

Yeah I did. I followed everything step by step in the read me. For the hacks part, was I supposed to select all of them?
