Hacking Softmii v0.9

Again if you use the tweak tool you MUST power of and back on for it to take effect properly. Also ONLY us 42.app if you are NTSC 45.app if PAL
and wiicrazy's video appears to be a modified preloader

and set the language to english if NTSC

Burned Autoboot WAD Manager, activated Rescue Menu with Starfall + GC Pad, inserted disc but nothing happens. Just screen goes black.

Just use FS Browser and dump your own original from 00000001/00000002/content

filename will be 00000042.app for NTSC and 00000045.app for wii. FS Browser will dump it to the root of your SD card

And I believe you can ONLY get it after you install Preloader correct

The part about Preloader is not really true apparently, since i don't have it and it dumped without problems. But now i have the .app file on my sd card, but i have no idea how i can open it in photoshop! do i have to convert it to something else and if so, how? just renaming it to .bmp doesnt work...

Ok people, since i dont have the knowledge what to do with the .app, would someone be so kind as to PM me the original health screen in decent quality? I have a pretty nice idea for a new health screen which i want to incorporate the original screen in, but all i can find on Google are pics taken with a camera.

Please help?

If I can get the system menu loading smooth, I should try out preloader's new version, then it will be a nice customization... like displaying a different picture everytime you start your wii and such... maybe I should start studying kanji again

To those complaining about the information for installing apps. I posted all of that in my post that explained how to use our tweak tool, don't yell at me cause clarky hasn't slept all week and keeps forgetting stuff

Well we all knew the tool was going to become massively used and distributed, this way anyone who wants to claim this work as their own has to look at our logo to use it. Kinda hard to claim it as your own then. Give credit where its due and all that

i can make pal screens but i have no way to test them (although id assume since the tpls will be the same they will work on pal) right now im eating dinner then ill be going through the pm box to see how many screens im gonna churn out tonight, lol

BTW, the pack works fantastic! I edited the hacks.ini and put in the new preloader and I was way to go.

In case it's been overlooked by anybody... note that with the 00000042.app and 00000045.app files for NTSC and PAL respectively, the SoftMii Tweaks applicatoin ignores all text in the filename following the .app extension. This allows you to easily organize your Health Screen mods on the root of SD card. For example.....

00000042.appmario
00000042.appwishizza
00000042.appgbatemp
etc.....

When you run the Tweaks application it will display all the .app files in the root of the SD card.

So with the app files named such you can easily choose which HS you want to install. Just put all the .app files fro appropriate region in your SD root. Also use FS Browser to get your original 00000042.app file to your SD then rename it 00000042.apporiginal

Then you have everything nicely organized and your original right there with the customs ones.

Dont mess with the other numbered app files if you dont know what you are doing. they can kill you
