I have a pal wii with rgb cables and i can only select 480i and 576i in the wii settings menu, i can't select EDTV/HDTV.

I suggest i need an irc client to go to #SoftChip on freenode. I never used irc before, i only have Gaim for icq.

When i set the Wii system video mode to 576i, the left part of the screen is cropped and i get random green and red stuff at the top.
When i set the wii system video mode to 480i, it's still cropped, i don't have weird stuff at the top, and overall it looks a little different.

In earlier revisions i never had stuff at the top, and the test had a few pixels space to the left.

You could go to: http://www.mibbit.com/ for a webbased irc client and then select FreeNode on the left in the Server menu.

I get this error when compiling: c:/Projects/Wiibrew/softchip/source/Configuration.cpp:15:9: warning: #pragma once in main file
I am doing something wrong?

Oh...ok! But now when I run the program everything loads ok until I go to start the disc, then it says Ioctl error? Did I forget something there??

My problem with weird stuff at the top of the screen seems to have something to do with "CON_Init(framebuffer, x, y, w, h, vmode->fbWidth * VI_DISPLAY_PIX_SZ);" (new version) and "CON_InitEx(vmode, x, y, w, h);" (old version). If i use the new version, the image is cropped, but this is due to me to tv doing an overscan, and i get green and red stuff at the top of the screen. When i use the old version, i have no problems, but the output does not start in the top left corner, there's much space wasted.

gaim (or pidgin) is good for icq too.
EDIT: should be irc

And CON_InitEx freezes SoftChip for some users. I tested 576i here. It's really ugly... That has something to do with these coordinates at CON_Init, I'll try to fix it later, it's not a priority because we'll remove the console output soon, and that doesn't happen in-game right?

Hey guys. Here's a .rar with an icon.png and a meta.xml for your homebrew channel (if you don't already have them).

It also includes SoftChip (autoboot and manual). The name in the program should include the revision, as should the homebrew channel.

This is revision 34, by the way. http://sites.google.com/site/uninspiredori...me/SoftChip.rar
