Hacking Soft modded wii trying to update

After doing some ios updates I noticed that on my wii dashboard that the disc channel now said something like "wii update ready". What the hell is this?

Whats the point what you want to do? Updating your wii will not brick it if you are wondering...

lolque? I was just doing routine ios updates so I could check out some new games and then I noticed that my wii disc channel was asking me to update. I've never had anything like this happen before.
