Pandoras are way overpriced. For that much coinage I may as well buy a PS3. Or if I wanted something good for emulators I could just get a PSP instead. Sure the PSP isn't as powerful but it's between 1/3 to 2/3 of the price of a Pandora.

Don't see why you wouldn't want a Xbox 360 or PS3. Both are very good consoles. I have a Xbox and use it about every day for Live.

PSPs are a pretty good choice though, decent enough library and lots of emulation.

iPod Touch isn't too bad of a choice either, the games are pretty good (if leaning on more of the casual side) and it has some nice multimedia purposes.

PS2s are still a great buy, especially now. We're at the time where PS2s and PS2 games are dirt cheap. You can get a used console for about $60 and pretty much every game that isn't a rarity is under $10. Hell I got MGS2 for 75 cents online (plus S&H of course but the overall price was

Can't go wrong with a Dreamcast. If you do get one, they can read burned discs right out of the box, so you don't have to mod it for it to play backups.

Actually 360's are cheaper unless you count Live. New Xbox models are from $150 for the basic model to $300 for the Elite or Slim model (not counting bundles). PS3 is, at least, around $300 for a Slim model (which is "basic"), $400 or something for a better model.

But if pricing doesn't matter either console is a great choice.

You don't have a Dreamcast? get one then buy an extra and some controllers [IMG]

I love my PS2 but I missed out on the DC when it was new, so I got one for like $50... then bought like 2 more and a bunch of games [IMG]

Its worthy of any collection and in my mind the best Sega console they ever released. Simply amazing [IMG]

Anyway thats my 2 cents lol

Edit: Also a PC-Engine or Turbo Graphics they are fun too for all the old shooters.

A second hand PS2 is very cheap these days, you should be able to get one and quite a few games for your money, softmodding is also very easy with free mcboot.

Also worth considering since you are from Holland, what about a MSX system? There is a dutch man selling cheap MSX2 systems that are beefed up a bit at bas-ditta.info

    5x more games than XBOX,
    9x more than PS3.

    More fun.

    Not as good graphics though.
