Like the title sates I purchased a hacked/modded new 2ds Xl. I have no idea what is on it beside something called GodMode9 and I think luma because it got factory reset and I had to stick a boot file on their. Also I have no clue how mods or hacks on the 3ds works so I apologize now. I was going to transfer from my old 3ds to the 2ds but now I’m afraid to. I just want to be able to play my downloaded 3ds and did games on my new system. Also the sd card has 60Gb of stuff on it. Any advice on how to figure out what mods are on it and how to use them or reset the system would be much appreciated. It was purchased from a major used console/game retailer, so I understand the mod it yourself mindset that’s not the issue. The issues is I got a modded limited edition 3ds that I have no clue how to properly use and can’t really return easily.
Edit 1: adding info

In order to get familiar with all that stuff, it is a good idea to read https://3ds.hacks.guide/ as if you were just hacking the console yourself. This way you will learn a lot. (I know it is long; step-by-step guide)
Hold the (Select) button while turning on the 2DS. On the top of the upper screen it should say:
Luma3DS v??? configuration
The current version is v9.1; just to make sure you have the latest version.

Next try if the new 2DSXL turns on normally without any SD inserted.

As for the 60GB data: Probably games that were installed before factory reset (which changes the encryption key so that the console ignores the old data – without deleting it from the SD). You should have two folders
SD:/Nintendo 3DS/<ID0>/<ID1>
SD:/Nintendo 3DS/<ID0>/<another ID1>

One of them should contain the majority of the data. It might be possible to restore access to that games and saves – if you really want it.

Okay I’ll read the guide soon, yeah it’s a crapload of games it looks like. It’s 9.1 and no it won’t Boot without a Sd card. Anymore info would be greatly appreciated thank you a lot!!

There is a section it the guide about setting up the ctrnand. You will wanna look at that as it allows you to boot the console without a sd card inserted

Not booting without SD means the file boot.firm has never been copied to the internal NAND. While not a 100% needed this is a failsafe mechanism. If the SD fails, corrupts or (worst case!) the SD reader fails at some point, the console becomes useless without this precaution until the damage is repaired.

Make sure you have boot.3dsx on the micro-SD. Then you can repeat the complete finalizing page of the guide https://3ds.hacks.guide/finalizing-setup – section VI is the part which copies Luma to the NAND.

Official "System Transfer" from or to hacked consoles is not a problem.

If you don't care about any of the games that are already on there, then just do a standard system transfer. Generally, this will require you to take the SD card out of your old 3DS and insert it into the 2DS, so just make sure boot.firm is on the SD card when you move it over.

Apart from that, it should function exactly the same as a stock system – assuming Nintendo doesn't release an update that screws everything up, which they could.

2 different styles of SD cards.

This modding stuff seems confusing hah this is why I’ve stayed away so long to busy with other stuff.

If anyone would want to talk to me over discord or Dm me on something the more I read on the how to mod the more confused I am
