Neither do they, honestly. The Switch is an indie dump and will be filled with lackluster rehashes, and the PS4 has absolutely nothing that sets it apart from the Xbone.

well the switch scene is just getting started on stuff and the ps4... well so far it's piracy, but has some homebrew stuff and mod menus

Both Switch and PS4 have worthwhile exclusives, and we already covered that both have much better-designed OSes without ads. Obviously the Switch's hardware design sets it apart, and "indie dump" could be used as a descriptor for any of the consoles TBH. To some extent you're right about PS4's lack of defining features, but with MS failing so hard all they had to do was impress with game design a few times to grab up the majority of the console market. Nintendo competing during half the generation with a DOA console also helped give Sony a leg up, of course.
