Correct, it will work from the SD card as well. Just keep in mind that the Gamepad will not do anything expect yell at you for using it as an input device.

Sorry, there is a chance that will happen. But as far as I know there is no progress being made on that front. I tend to use a Gamecube controller with my Gamepad, next best thing right?

My Wii U has collected 6 months of new dust already, and that is over the dust it already had collected for the previous year.
It is still on 5.3.2, it still works with loadiine if not only because it is a bothersome thing to use and I already have almost everything I want on disc. I have a ton of original disc based games (wait, are there a ton of games for Wii U? you liar!), and I sometimes long for going online into the eShop and so.
For some reason some hacks, specially the one to install game updates, have a boot ratio of <1% for me, so let's say they don't even work.
Should I let it collect dust until the world ends?
Should I try to install a new hack only because?
Should I give a fuck and update like a sir to go into eShop?
Should I blend it?
I don't know anymore...
