unholyfire has released the first homebrew emulator for the Nintendo Wii. He's ported SNES9X GX v1.43 to run it native Wii mode. Unlike other emulators that run on the Wii under GameCube mode, this emulator runs in pure 100% Nintendo Wii mode.

Changes from Snes9xGx 1.43

- Added Wii DVD detection capability (allows you to browse the DVD to fetch
ROMS)

- Changed "goto menu" function to button combo "L+R+X+Y" (to support SNES/GC
adapters and/or homebrew controllers)

It can, but so far, all that anyone has been able to access are the GameCube controllers and Memory Card slots.

this is a SNES emulator that's supposed to run using the twilight hack which requires only the Zelda TP game and an SD card. you dont' need to mod your wii

it's extension is .DOL , that's for GC mode.

It's extension is .DOL simply because it was made using GC's libraries (because there's no libwii yet). Rename it to .ELF.
