Works really good on o3ds, just the screen size though, wish that it could be stretched to full screen..

How bad is the CPU on the old 3ds. A psp could handle snes9x back in the day.

Different architecture and the really good snes emulators for the PSP took advantage of both the GPU and the Media Engine which had another 32-bit MIPS32 R4k-base CPU and a programmable DSP. Emulators on the 3DS can only use the ARM11 CPU. Now, if you were to make an emulator that ran as an a9lh payload and thus used both the ARM9 and ARM11 CPUs that would be much faster but then you can't take advantage of any of the services that the 3DS firmware provides and thus would have to rewrite the graphics, input, file access, network drivers, and everything else yourself.

Well, I'm assuming you are using a recent Android phone. It should be fast enough to run the latest versions of Snes9x without problems. But on the old 3DS, it's an entirely different story. :)

Oh, and er... I'll try to look into the glitchy borders problem. Doesn't happen on mine though.

Can always add cheats later on too. :) It was always there in Snes9x... now I just need the time to hook it up...
I'm using nvidia shield TV Console and i use the SNES9X EX+ emulator. It's a free and lightweight emulator for android,
http://www.explusalpha.com/home/snes9x-ex
"Accurate emulation and high compatibility rate, utilizes Snes9x 1.43 or 1.53"

And yeah my android is way over powered than necessary to use emulators. I can run Epsxe emulator at full framerate and over 200 FPS Frameskipping with best settings, look goregous in 1080P but i'll never see it in 4k unless i get a tv :P

supports stellaview roms :D

a way of changing roms would be good :)

im doing various videos for cetain games running on this emulator any requests??

Excellent stuff.

I'm keen to test and follow progress on this - particularly on titles that blargSNES struggles with..

OMG! Save State Support, that's what I need! Too many games to play but for those games that doesn't save is impossible.
Thanks a lot!

Demon Crest work's fine. 60 Fps.
Make Cia version of this emulator and full screen ;). Good Job !

As an O3DS owner, I'm very grateful for this! Hopefully it will be able to run some of the things we couldn't run full speed with blargSNES.
I tried Super Castlevania IV that struggled on blargSNES, and it runs full speed, aside from missing some animations (like the gate closing at the beginning).
As others have mentioned, I'd really appreciate a CIA version as well.
Wouldn't CIA also benefit from dynamic recompilation (if you implemented it)?
