Homebrew Snes9x cheat menu mess

Hello,
I recently installed Luma and love it. The last thing I'm trying to do is set up some cheats for the nes and snes emulators. In regards to snes9x, I added the cht files but they display terribly. I can't even guess how to interpret each line. Has anyone successfully added cheats that are clean easy to read?
