Hi GBAtemp,

I've recently bought a PAL SNES with Super Mario World and Super Mario All-Stars (which I barely play as I own the original NES games). However, after playing through the first world of Mario World and powering the system down, I realised that the game had not saved. Remembering that NES games like Final Fantasy and Zelda require you to hold reset before powering down, I gave exactly that a shot. It worked. After googling, I couldn't find anyone else having the same problem, and that SNES should save perfectly without holding reset.

What's the problem? Is the battery depleted?

Battery is dead replace it only reason the save was wiped when you reset was because there was still power running to the cartridge
