Hi GBAtemp, I've recently bought a PAL SNES with Super Mario World and Super Mario All-Stars (which I barely play as I own the original NES games). However, after playing through the first world of Mario World and powering the system down, I realised that the game had not saved. Remembering that NES games like Final Fantasy and Zelda require you to hold reset before powering down, I gave exactly that a shot. It worked. After googling, I couldn't find anyone else having the same problem, and that SNES should save perfectly without holding reset. What's the problem? Is the battery depleted?
