Bring on super Mario rpg injection!
Kirby was released, a sa-1 game! Perhaps I'm mistaken but isn't Mario rpg also a sa-1 game?
Kirby Super Star was SA-1, we're getting Dream Course
what is "SA-1"?
Kirby's Dreamland 3, oh shit waddup.
An enhancement chip used in certain SNES games to make them work/run better
Man..... I almost had a heart attack....
So... Whats the veredict? Sa-1 or not?
Oh crap! I totally got my hopes up lol! Sorry for the mistake!
Lazy Nintendo being lazy. How bad would a SA-1 enhanced game run on a N3DS? They just didn't give two craps about it. I love Nintendo, but sometimes they dissapoint me.
No worries, I made the same mistake too when it was announced.
I hope we get Super Star for SA-1... but I'm also personally hoping we get Kirby Avalanche.
It's not about them being lazy at all. They either just haven't done it because the 3DS can't emulate the chips (no idea on that, just a guess) or because it takes money to research and develop these things and they don't see it as worth it.
I don't think it's a hardware problem, but the money factor might be a reason.
It might also be expectations. They don't want people thinking they're rolling out all of the special chip games when they can't get all of them out since Argonaut still owns the license to the Super FX.
But yeah, R&D can be costly for VC games that might not even sell that well.
Keep in mind we have literally no idea if N3DS SNES VC does or doesn't emulate SNES.
Everyone is calling it an emulator. But you could be right.
That is exactly what it is, and that is why ROM injection exists. It's just an emulator with a fancy HUD and abnormally slow releases.
i don't think normal customers even know about the special chips and care, they just want to play games... right?
pocketsnes can run mario rpg at 60 fps on 3ds so I'm sure nintendo could get it running if they wanted.
