Apparently it's loaded with ace_loader. Dunno what it is, but when I asked, that's what they said.
Sounds like what could be a homebrew launcher/GUI kind of thing, a lot of it's unknown, which is fine. Hackers do what Nintendont want to do. Screw waiting for the VC.
is there anything on the wiki about this kind of ace loader ?
It's getting there. Where are those people now claiming it will take another couple of years talking shit to other people not updating
we dont need to rub shit in people's faces bro
I was just rubbing it back, that's all. They were rubbing it in back then 2 when mario and xenoblade came out
i think i know how to launch it , you would need to make the file convert it to elf and from elf to nro
just look at the readme file it makes just sense
Yeaaaah, and we don't need to bring it up again, either. This is about emulators, not flaunting what firmware someone has. No sense on derailing.
Doesn't seem too user friendly though, not everyone enjoys CLI.
GOOD, REALLY GOOO OOOD
I'm 99% sure that was the plan.
Not sure why people thought that was the case.
Above hackable firmware, guess I'm waiting for VC.
Still waiting for the supposed android version of pegaswitch…
That's a thing?
Sounds familiar... Lol
Not getting my hopes up for anything past 3.0.0 or 4.0.0 support, to be brutally honest. Not worth getting hopes up for it.
I'm hopeful. Past experiences show that there's never one exploitable fw.
PS3 kinda ruined that expectation for me, it's not worth the process of downgrading just to hack the firmware, yadda yadda. Sounds like Nintendo learned their lesson with security, and are really keeping on top of firmware releases, so...yeah, I'm cynical about the whole thing.
I want to be hopeful, I do, I just don't want to get burned.
It was discussed in the ReSwitched discord a while back, don't know how it's turning out now though
Thanks to Mission 2000 and the other Members of the Discord Chat here is an tutorial how to build the Snes Emulator.
you need to clone libtransistor, check out the graphics-experimental-fs branch, compile it, compile ace_loader, clone libtransistor-snes9x2010, build it, clone libtransistor-retroarch, copy libretro_switch.a from snes9x2010 into retroarch, make a directory called fs, put your ROM in fs, name it what, build retroarch, launch pegaswitch, launch ace_loader, and use that to launch retroarch
its not made for the simple user still i gonna sit my ass and try it.
Yeah, I'm glad there's a way to to test it out for other users, and hopefully a GUI isn't too far off on the horizon
