Reformat is the only thing I could think of. I mean in most cases there's no chance for recovery, so that's usually what people do. But you can take a crack at saving some of the files if you think you will be able to.

A similar thing happened to me, and I was able to recover my saves using PC Inspector File Recovery, a free program, before formatting. Not sure if it will work for you, but you should look into it.
