Try creating the minimal nand on your hard drive and then copying it to your SD - shouldn't make a difference, but it seemed to on mine.
Sorry if this has been answered already, but what are the minimal/required wads you need if I want to create a nand dump from scratch? EULA, region select, system menu, system menu IOS.... what else?

thanks a lot
Check out three posts above yours! Or here: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=205...p;#entry2571168

You probably don't need boot2 though. You could potentially delete region select and EULA once you've got the nand running.

IMPORTANT: With this setup it will take upto 5 minutes to load the setup screen and once that's finished it can take another 5 minutes to go from health screen to channel screen. This time lag is only for the first time you run it which the system creates all the files it needs. It will be super fast the second time around.

I haven't gotten the minimal dumps to work, they always end up booting with the blinking blue light but I'm sure I'm doing something wrong.
wilsoff, are you sure you need region select v1, I know NUS says v2 is korea only but if you run a simulated sys upgrade in NUS it grabs v2.
They way I did it was to grab all the WADs through NUS, saved them to a seperate directory on my desktop then ran showmiithewads, opened that new folder with showmiithewads, changed the NAND directory option to the root of my SD card then extracted all the wads to NAND, which looked like it created all the proper files/folders then copied cert.sys and settings.txt from my full dump to the proper locations. My full dumps work but they normally brick after rebooting once or twice.
I've checked it and the files / elements listed above are what I use and it works every time. You can try regionselect v2, but I defintely use V1.

Try creating the minimal nand on your hard drive and then copying it to your SD - shouldn't make a difference, but it seemed to on mine.

1. Create folder
2. Point showmiiwads to that folder
3. Download all wads from NUSD
4. Add all of those wads to showmiiwads
5. Select all in showmiiwads
6. right click and press extract to nand
7. format sd card
8. copy all files from created folder to SD card
9. copy cert.sys and setting.txt
10. copy bootmii folder to sd card (sneek version)
11. copy boot2.bin to sd card

thanks wilsoff, I'll try when I get home from work. I was thinking too that IOS 30 is now a stub IOS, wouldn't getting it off NUSD grab a bogus IOS?

cert.sys is not required as SNEEK doesn't check any signatures.
you basicly just need three things:
1. system menu
2. system menu IOS
3. setting.txt in 1-2/data

SNEEK and the system menu will create all the other "missing" files, but as mentioned before that takes some time!!

If that's not pure self-advertising I don't know what is.

Hello,
If I try to use the update feature of the wii whilst in SNEEK mode, will it perform the update normally? Will this affect the real NAND?

Thanks

Tested and confirmed! (3.2U)

I read something by crediar that if sneek is requested to load a non-modular IOS (

There, fixed it or you

^ Waninkoko's or Wiigator's? I have CIOSCORP 3.6 installed(hurray for sneek! no contamination on my real nand), along with the included Wiigator cMIOS, and none of my GC backups will show up. o.O;

Maybe you need gamecube games region free patch (I used startpatch).

Apart from that, you should be able to at least see the game banners if your system menu IOS is corped (ie. CIOS60 installed for sys4.0, CIOS70 for sys4.2). Double check that it is, or install the CIOS again.

Those are the only two conditions that I am aware of required to display GC games in the disk channel, MIOS is not loaded until you click the start button in disk channel.

I'm on Wii system menu 3.2 with bootmii (boot2 installed) I know that if I update it wont touch my nand but will it update my boot 2. And if it does update my boot 2 will I be able to uninstall bootmii (boot2)

You mean if you update your SNEEK NAND? It will update your SNEEK boot2, located in SD:/title/00000001/00000001

Yes if I update my SNEEK NAND.

So your saying it will not update anything on my Wii (meaning my original boot2 is safe?)

Your real Boot2 will not be updated
Sneeks boot2 won't be touched also as it has version set to boot2v5
