i get the black screen on load and the FAQ says go to a specific folder and delete everything except for settings.txt, but my dump didnt give me a settings.txt.. why didnt it dump that settings.txt file?

you missed the most important line:
"Only full FS dumps work with SNEEK, some dumpers skip IOSs or data folders. The system menu won't load without a setting.txt present. "

to 1) yeah more noobs mess with SNEEK though they shouldn't
to 2) pros could easily create that themthelves ...

and with such things that could basicly update every day those packages are just not really useful

not really, to update it today, all i had to do was replace the 2 modules and re-run the batch file... so I don't think it will be useless. In the future, anyone downloading v3 only has to replace any updated files and re-run the batch file (unless something major changes)

considering I've had 10 ppl download it since I uploaded it 15 minutes ago... i think some people find it useful (and that's not counting the 100+ people who downloaded v1 or v2)

Anyways, I hear what your saying SanGor, and I understand u... just quit breaking my balls

Yup, xflak's installer seemed to work without a hitch.

@SanGor: It's better for n00bs to mess around with SNEEK than, say, mess around with their actual NAND and brick themselves, don't you think? =P

Not really when hardly any HBC apps work so the only bricking will be banner bricks from bad wads

Agreed, if noobs can install BootMii, then they've got protection anyways

i think right now SNEEK isn't good enough for everyday usage... but i also think it is the future of wii hacking, so the more "beta testers" we have (ie. pros and noobs trying sneek) the better.

I figure if a noob wants to install sneek, they're gonna do it one way or another, at least my auto-installer makes it easy for them. And that means more ppl reporting bugs (although i hate bug reports from noobs...) and hopefully speeding up sneek's evolution which benefits everyone!

Haha. Just tried to boot up RB2 with SNEEK.

1) Little drummer guy: 5 Minutes
2) Checking Wii System Memory: 6 Minutes

254 Songs on SD Card: Timeless.

you know how people say bootmii makes you "brickproof"? with this, you can take it 1 step farther. not only can you recover from a brick, you can do it as easy as turning off your wii and turning it back on. you can be nosey and see a lot of what your wii is really doing with a usb gecko. you can test out different things before you do them to your real wii. also it lets you take everything contained on your wii to any other wii in the world and access the content.

so you can be playing a game and go to granny's house and take your SD card with you and fire up granny's wii and pick up you game where you left off at home.

Assuming Granny let you install BootMii, that is. She'd probably think her Wii got a virus. =P

But yeah, once SNEEK becomes more practical for everyday use, any Wii can be brickproof since people without BootMii/boot2 and configure Priiloader to autoboot into SNEEK, after which they won't be able to screw up the real NAND anymore. Too awesome.

SNEEK v2 Auto-Installer rev4 (by X-Flak)

The easiest LEGAL way to get all the files you need for SNEEK to work!

this is the last update for it, i promise (I know I said the same thing for v3, and v3 still works fine, i just made v4 even more user-friendly).

Usage/Instructions (now on the Complete Softmod Guide)
