Does anyone know if it's able to install a custom system menu to the emulated nand? I'm not sure, but i think it's unpossible, because you'll need a sd-card for it >.

Is it possible for someone to create a small utility that will rename the bootmii folder that contains sneek files to another folder with the original files so you can switch between them easily by using HBC? This idea is similar to how Categorii works and you'll not have to manually replace files if you want to switch to your real NAND.

For example: You have the files required for sneek in the bootmii folder and the original bootmii files in a folder called, let's say bootmii2. When you run the utility it will rename bootmii2 to bootmii and bootmii to bootmii2.

There was an app released a while ago called BootMii Switch or something like that which would switch "BootMii" and "BootYou" folders on your SD card, meaning you could have BootMii as "BootYou" and SNEEK as "BootMii" and if you wish to switch, run the app.

This already exists. It's called BootMii Switch. If it's not on Wiibrew or elsewhere I'll upload the one from my card.

Just for kicks I decided to try the Format System Memory option in the System Menu and apparently it "bricks" the emulated NAND. So..don't do it.

System updates, on the other hand, work fine.

Format System Memory option does work, I tried it, now i've a 4.2E formated

Btw, how'd u managed to get apps working with the emulated nand?

I give up...I even tried it now with another SD-Card, with the official armboot.bin and with nothing inserted in the USB-Ports. Still Black Screen

.

I can't see any point that I've done wrong. Dumped my NAND with Simple FS-Dumper, full dump, no Errors. Placed the boot2.bin on the Root of the SD-Card and placed the official armboot.bin under /bootmii. Is it because I have the 4.2 Menu? Or because I have Priiloader? I always holded Reset, but no Priiloader-Menu shows up...

Right now, I'm damm dissapointed...

Hey guys, crediar has put the armboot.bin on google code. This means nobody has to deal with a source and compiling anymore am I right? Only the boot2.bin must be created by ourselfes I guess?

Startup guide updated, so at least compiling is handled.
Hmm, Just followed this and the compiling went great with no errors but when I loaded bootmii the screen turned purple and the drive LED is flashing...

Do you have an USB Gecko for the debug output? I would be interessted in the log. However go sure if your SD card is compatible with BootMii (flashing disc slot points towards an incompatible one) and that your NAND dump is correct.

No I don't have one. I'm fixing to try another sd card after my NAND files transfer over.

If you have an sd card inserted at the same time as a USB storage
device, the SD card takes priority and apps from the USB device will
not be shown even if there are no visible apps on the SD card.

Obviously, the above quote refers to the HBC being installed on a real NAND. Currently, I am running the HBC with no SD card in the Wii and just a USB hard drive connected, with FAT32_USB:/apps/foo_bar/ and FAT32_USB:/roms/foo_bar/ holding all my emulators and ROMs. I have not yet installed TriiForce because I was watching this development.

However, am I right in saying that with SNEEK I can use a 32GB SDHC for installing my emulated NAND to hold my VC and WiiWare games (negating the need for Triiforce, but only up to a maximum of 48 games due to the HBC channel limit, right?) but still have my FAT32_USB:/apps/foo_bar/ and FAT32_USB:/roms/foo_bar/ present and working in the same manner in the emulated HBC as in the real HBC?

Thanks,

Nick
