I am having one hell of a time trying to get sneek to compile.

I have sliksvn, python 2.6, devkitpro, Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package, and the IOS80-v6943 0000000e.app and IOS60-v6174 00000001.app. I have tried devarm r24, r28, and r32. No matter what I just get a black screen. If I use the sneek installer sneek will work fine so I know it is not an issue with the nand dump.

Here is the output from the command prompt when I try to compile sneek.

*snip*

Can someone help me figure out what is going wrong?

looks like it's compiling fine and you're just having the same DI issues as me. Also, use spoiler tags for things like compiler logs.

I'm having the same endless drive light blinking problem as well using r125 + r140...except it only happens when I try to use my external hard drive (UNEEK and UNEEK+DI). I can get everything to work fine using my flash drive, but its capacity is too small to be of any real use.

The first partition on my hard drive is FAT32 and the cluster size is 32kb, so it might just be incompatible with SNEEK in general, which sucks because it works for everything else I've tried that's Wii related.

Ok, so apparently it just doesn't like my hard drive. I copied everything over to a flash drive and voila, it worked. Bummer, that was my Wii hard drive, and I'm not going to buy another one just for SNEEK. At least maybe I can test some stuff that I needed S/UNEEK+DI in order to test (no, not DIOS-MIOS).

I have a question: If i for example perfrom a wii system update from the emulated nand, does it update the real nand? What if i install something from wad manager? where will it install? what if i run hackmii installer and install hbc or bootmii?

Is the real nand safe?

All NAND access is redirected to the emulated NAND. All of it. Updates, installing wads, bricking, everything. If you banner brick your emulated NAND, just uninstall the offending title with ShowMiiWads on a PC. Also, just FYI it's way easier to install wads to an emulated NAND using ShowMiiWads than a wad manager... just sayin...

Your flash drive is likely only 1 FAT32 partition, but is your hard drive 2 partitions (FAT32 & NTFS/WBFS)?
If yes, pop it onto your computer and make sure that the FAT32 partition is marked as Active. The same thing was happening to me until I set my FAT32 to Active

No, my HDD is pure FAT32. UNEEK works fine with my NAND on that HD, but when I switch to UNEEK+DI *without changing anything except the UNEEK binaries* all I get is a black screen. Then I copied all of the USB files (NAND, kernel.bin, di.bin, font.bin, \games) over to the flash drive and it worked. I tried with several different revisions of UNEEK, all with the same results. Something about the DI patching screws with HD compatibility.

I'm very convinced the black screening on UNEEK-DI has to do with r140...hopefully crediar will fix it when he picks sneek back up

I dunno, I'm sure there are different reasons for different people, but for me r140 works fine, just not when you combine DI with my HD. Take out DI or use a flash drive and it works fine. Older revisions didn't make any difference for me

What is needed on the "real" NAND to be able to run SNEEK ?

I have HBC 1.0.8 and updated to 4.3 using nintendo's wifi update

I am trying to run SNEEK but with no luck.

All you need on the real NAND is BootMii, either as boot2 or IOS, it doesn't matter (although boot2 is more convenient if you can). Basically, to run SNEEK you load BootMii, except the armboot.bin from SNEEK replaces the actual BootMii program, so it loads instead. If you only have BootMii IOS, you can load it from HBC by pressing the Home button and selecting load BootMii.

Hello Everyone!

I NEED YOUR HELP...

Sorry this might sound noobish but I am trying to install sneek but unsuccessful to UNEEK+DI and Successful to SNEEK+DI

I was following this guide http://sites.google.com/site/completesg/ho...use/sneek/setup, I followed and made all the process without errors but when I checked the file structure , I noticed that some files were missing from the NAND as follows:

NAND
SD:/
import
meta
shared2
temp

I only found the copy to SD files (SNEEK+DI, I also tried the UNEEK+DI but same result on copy to USB) the following : shared1, ticket, sys and title. When I run UNEEK it only given a black screen but when I used SNEEK+DI all is working fine but wondering if these missing files might affect in the future? and how could I know my R version?(E.g. R140 etc?)

Lastly is it possible to have a game selection similar to CFG usb loader or usb loader GX (I never install these types of programs)? If yes please give me a good guide...

I have HBC 1.0.8, bootmii as an IOS, IOS61 v.21.29 and 3.2U wii version... Please point on the right direction. Thanks in advance - Ocihc80!

If you are missing files, but it works, then that's no problem (for example the ModMii generated NAND only contains the bare minimum of the NAND).

There is no way to have a newer selection screen yet. (afaik)

Thank you for your quick reply TJ...

Three more questions:

1) What are the main significance of the other version of sneek (I want to know the most stable version)? I did not find in the net any good explanation...
2) Is there any way I can make an easy switching between sneek and my original menu?
3) any other recommended ad-ons/files on SNEEK for me to prevent any problem or for easier use?

MAny thanks and always keep well mate!

My self-powered USB Hub(Targus ACH102US) works on real NAND, but not on a Emulated NAND.
Does anyone have a usb hub that works on an Emu-NAND?
If so, what hub is it?

Weird... last night I was playing ToS:DotNW from WiiFlow and I hit the Home Button and chose Reset. Turns out my UNEEK SD card was in the slot and when it reset, it actually loaded my UNEEK NAND successfully, and it was from the HD that wasn't working before. So it *kinda* works, maybe it has something to do with the timing issues I've read about in earlier revs where UNEEK didn't wait long enough to wake up the HD before trying to load the NAND from it, but I thought they'd fixed that...

Good day everyone...

I am using SNEEK+DI, I would like to know if i can use my previous save games before I installed SNEEK? if yes, please let me know because all of my previous save games were lost.

Thank you very much!
