I have to admit, I haven't tried the USB mic yet, but the game seems to run. The question I have for you is how you got the Shop Channel to work. That is apparently one of the things stopping me from using the Music Store. I don't know if I get an error about re-downloading because I can't get that far. I tried just a standard dump of my NAND (where I know the Shop works) but that just freezes. Do I need something different to install for the Shop?

Also, I'm not sure that UNEEK is reporting the proper amount of "NAND" space. When I check my real NAND, I have 1700 or so blocks free. I only have a couple of channels installed (no WiiWare or VC), and when I check the space on my UNEEK "NAND", it says I have about 2000 blocks free, and it is on an 8GB mem stick. Any ideas why that is? I have just the default 4.2U stuff on the stick.

Thanks for any help.

I didn't do anything to it.. I'm running a dump of my own nand. I do have a "clean" Nand image that I upgraded to 4.2 recently so I'll give the shop a go when I can. I assume you set up a wireless profile on your new nand?

hey. i just got uneek figured out. i am using my nand backup from triiforce. sneek loads perfectly and everything is great except one thing. the wii only has 4 pages of wiiware stuff. how to you use the usb hdd for the sd card menu as well (it has 20 pages) do i just create a private folder on the hard drive? and install wads to that?

I really don't understand what I've done wrong that prevents me from being able to use sneek. It's been driving me nuts for days now, It's all I can think about is "why doesn't it work!"
Is it possible, even remotely that there is just something about my Wii personally that prevents it from being able to use Sneek? Is it maybe the SD card or something? I'm tempted to go out and buy another one just to find out but it works with Triiforce (which is notoriously picky with SD cards) and any other homebrew I throw at it.

If you're getting a black screen when trying to boot SNEEK, try the following:
* Confirm you have a good boot2 and armboot
* Confirm you have a Bootmii settings .INI file with Autoboot enabled
* Remove peripherals from USB ports before turning on
* Remove GCN memory cards before turning on
* Make sure the NAND dump you're using doesn't have Preloader on it (if it does, go to title/00000001/00000002/content, find the 100000XX.app file that corresponds to a 000000XX file, delete the 0 and rename the 1 to what the 0 was to remove Preloader)
* Make sure you're not using a crappy SD card (some slow cards and Transcend models won't work)
Check the SNEEK Google Code page FAQ for anything I might have missed.

how can you verify if...

1. your complied boot2.bin/armboot is OK.. CRC? SFV?
2. your nand dump is good?
3. your nand from scratch with the help of showmiiwads is good?

it's a bit tricky to troubleshoot out where something could messed up

settings.ini is not needed at all.
You need only armboot.bin in the bootmii folder.

Yes, I do have the wireless network setup. That is how I upgraded to 4.2U. Any luck with that "clean" image? Also, any idea why my real NAND dump doesn't work? I just extract the BootMii nand.bin dump to the USB stick. All I get is a black screen forever.

Thank you for posting this. I've spent a lot of time trying to figure out why Sneek wasn't working with the DI or USB versions, and after reading this I remembered that I had a USB keyboard plugged into the other USB slot after.

Problem solved.

Here's a good one:

My SNEEK-DI works wonders when the region.bin is not on the USB Drive. Problem is I can't load games. So it makes sense to add the region.bin, right?

Well, when I put it on, an interesting thing happens: the Wii boots up to the Health and Safety screen and does one of two things:
1) It hangs
2) It flashes green, then red, then shuts off.

So, how can I fix this? I've thought of a few solutions:
1) Change SNEEK region to EUR (not sure how, or even if this will be valid)
2) Fiddle around with region.bin, even though I have a USA Wii

Anybody else have any ideas pertaining to this unique (UNEEK?) situation?

the latest build defaults to JAP, you can use the SNEEKInstaller to create the region.bin.
It also sounds like you messed with your slot.bin, delete it.

is anyone aware of problems related to metroid prime trilogy?

when i try to run this games it boots fine from the disc channel, but when it comes to load the actual game i want to play (corruption for instance) the console reboots and no video signal.

any suggestion?

Yes I get the same thing with MPT. I can play MP1 and MP2 fine but with MP3 it will load and reboot to a black screen. This only started happening in R80. R79 and earlier worked fine with MPT.

mhhh too bad

monster hunter tri works fine with sneek + di, rugby league works in full mode, sneek uses the oficial nintendo ios so there should not be problem loading those games. im only having troubles with dvd9 games (ssbb, and sakura wars) ssbb load fine but i get a blackscreen playing sub space emissary like when i was using rev 14, and sakura wars get stuck at the loading screen.

edit: i managed to run ssbb sub space emissary with sneek di rev79, for some reason i couldnt get it working with rev 80 it just stuck in a blackscreen after the first fight

ive got a odd problem i can get sneek running fine and have several nand dumps with HBC installed
i have a apps folder on my hdd with programs in but all my sneek HBCs will not switch to USB
works fine in real nand

any ideas how to fix this ?

Hey guys,

can anyone please tell me how I can format my 160 GB Western Digital to FAT32, stupid Windows only let me choose NTFS.
Everything else is done, just need to figure out how I can format it to FAT32.

Thank you very very much.

Free EASEUS Home Edition is very highly recommended. Very easy to use and does it all. You'll still have to set the partition as active with Windows Administrative Tools though.

nope, EASEUS can set any partition to active as long as the HDD has more than one partition(obviously), you simply right click on the partition and hit "Advanced" - "Set Active", screeny below in "Spoiler" for the dialup users lol

EDIT

Your missing the SNEEK Installer in the 1st post, might as well add that to the guide, its pretty handy

WOW, why I never seen that is beyond me. I stand corrected. Thanks pep, still an awesome app though right ??

EDIT: ok we'll do since it's out now, but this post WAS about compiling not 1 click apps.
