Cos I can. I just run multiple NAND and have them setup differently. I like to see the 2.0E for a retro fix. Also, they're themed diffrerently. I can switch between the 3 and my real at any time with switch2uneek. I do it just cos I can. Switch is a nice app that works, don't like it going to waste

Thanks a lot man, this is much nicer than the channel I've been using

I managed to find a youtube video of this channel in case anyone wants to see it before downloading

I think switch2uneek is one those "under the radar" apps. Its handy if you wanna have a "crash test" nand and a proper working one. If you cock up your crash test one you still have at least 1 working one and don't have to rebuild/repair straight away. Just my 2p's worth

I think switch2uneek has a lot of room for user error (ie. using the wrong version of the app for real/emu nands), but if used properly I think its very stable. I've tested it probably close to 100 times on 3 different hard drives, and it has never corrupted anything on any of the drives

Alright, I have question I hope someone knows the answer to, otherwise I have a considerable amount of 'wiisearch' to do

Say I have priiloader v0.4 installed to a nand (real or emulated, doesn't matter), let's use 3.2E as an example.

*Priiloader --> /title/00000001/00000002/content/00000046.app
*System Menu --> /title/00000001/00000002/content/10000046.app

If I were to construct a clean emulated nand (using ModMii or w/e), lets say for 4.2U, the system menu is saved here:
*System Menu --> /title/00000001/00000002/content/00000088.app

So here's the question, would I be able to manually install priiloader to the 4.2U emulated nand by:
1. renaming /title/00000001/00000002/content/00000088.app to /title/00000001/00000002/content/10000088.app
2. then copying priiloader from the 3.2E nand (/title/00000001/00000002/content/00000046.app) to the 4.2U emu nand (/title/00000001/00000002/content/00000088.app)

I know that this can be done if both nands are the same firmware and region. But I want to know if I can manually copy the same priiloader *.app file (ie. 00000046.app) to ANY region emulated nand (ie. 000000XX.app) or if when priiloader is installed it is taylored to the specific region/firmware you are running and thus require donor and target nands be the same region/firmware in order to manually copy priiloader to an emu nand.

I tried to be as clear as possible explaning my question above, but if anyone needs further clarification I would be more than happy to clear up any questions.
Thanks in advance!

I believe they are region specific. When installed the addresses within the files that are written are different from region to region. I think that can be found in the ...... uhh...hold on let me do some searching. There is a list somewhere of just what I'm trying to explain. I'm 80% positive that won't work though. If I'm wrong, I'll blame my absense on my mistakes.

EDIT: The hacks.ini used would probably not be a factor though.

thx choked! I'll keep checking back in to see if you have a more concrete answer.

But if it turns out that it is region specific, do you happen to know if I could simply hex edit the priiloader dol to work on a different firmware? If you're not sure, I may need to do a hex compare of priiloader dols installed to different firmwares to see where the differences lie. The reason why I'm asking is probably obvious to most people who follow my work, but I'm trying to determine if there is a way to automate installing priiloader to any emulated nand using windows.

Thx again!

Got some questions about priiloader and emulated nand.

1)What would be the benefit of having priiloader installed to it?

2)How do you install it? Would it be as simple as installing it from the hbc w/in the emulated nand?

3)I read that priiloader could cause problems with emulated nand, what problems would be produced?

Thanks in advance for your prompt response and thanks again for anyone who offered helpful advice not only to me but others as well.
