I can't figure out how to make the touch screen only work at certain points. PLEASE HELP!

What do you mean by work at certain points? If you mean detecting touch within a range, use comparisons.
Like
IF X>10 && Y>10 && X<20 && Y<20 THEN 'whatever you wanted when you touched this range
could check for collision in a square between (10,10) and (20,20).
