Just stay where you're at for now. But, it "works" on 8.1!

Just wait for the release before you update. We'll have more answer then as to which firmware is best.

It is a userland exploit in 5.x-8.x. This WILL NOT be usable by gateway or any flashcart company for that matter since it does not allow kernel access. This does however allow homebrew.

The whole "cumming buckets" thing was about region free. It would allow you to buy lets say for example, a Japanese game and play it on a European console.
