Uh, what the hell are you talking about? A lot of people (Myself included) like remakes once in a while, but no one is saying that's all they want. Super Smash Bros. Melee came out a while ago and it would be nice to see it with a fresh coat of paint.

You can. It uses the same mechanics and it's even been reported to be more responsive.


As for the topic, I really wish it eventually comes out. Better yet if it does for both the Café (stop fucking calling it Wii 2, please) and the 3DS, and have them have some kind of connectivity.

I have to agree with Nollog.
Super Smash Brothers is really the same game over and over again with different characters.
Rather than asking for a remake, ask for a new game with the stuff from Melee.

Rather than asking for a remake, ask for a new game with the stuff from Melee.

If they did, it would (Almost definitely) be panned as a half-assed sequel to Brawl, especially if no new mechanics are added. If they make a sequel, they'll put their all into it which is why I think it makes more sense to re-release Brawl/Melee with a few added features since Sakurai likely won't make a Smash Bros. 3DS game. Nintendo isn't the kind of company to ship out a new game without putting a lot of effort into it first.

Many competitive Smash Bros players have a certain disdain for the Vanilla Brawl. I hate it because it's slow. Think of older Sonics vs. New Sonics. Nintendo lost the feel. Melee is still my choice for playing with my friends. If Nintendo just got it right, I wouldn't complain, but after Brawl, I'm afraid it'll turn out like Sonic.
