Also, i dont know why, but i want to make a complete mod that brings Brawl to smash 3DS
it is an original concept and be a playable Brawl

Can you please tell me how you did that? That would be awesome!!!

*that moment when you wish you had time to mod Sm4sh again, but you have multiple projects going on :(*

After being on the discord modding group for awhile, I have to say that I much prefer being here on GBA temp. We might not have the experience that they do on the discord group, but atleast the community will help solve new/unknown issues rather than ignore them… It makes for a much better modding environment and community.

It really is simple. I have done it too. Steps:
  1. Download the msbt editor I built (attached) (i built it so you may need to delete everything but the .dll and .exe)
  2. Make sure you extracted the game. go to "data/ui/message/sound.msbt" and open it with msbt editor
  3. Find the name of the song you want to replace. (Let's say we wanted to replace the Battlefield main theme)
  4. Press Control + F and type in the name of the song.
  5. Should look like this
    upload_2017-3-7_17-38-56.png
  6. Notice: It says 01 at the end of it. That is important for other information.
  7. Change the name of the song. If you want to get really picky about it, the Sound screen on the 3ds has a list of all songs. You can edit this information too if you so desire.
  8. So, for battlefield, we would take the 01 at the end, and find MsndO_SOUND01 and MsndW_SOUND01. The MsndW's are the information you would see on the top screen right after choosing a song. The MsndO's contain the extra information you see after pressing Y on the same screen. Edit this if you want.
  9. Once finished, save the .msbt itself and put it in saltysd/smash/ui/message/sound.msbt.
  10. Profit?
Hopefully that works for you.

PS: @gryz, I am on here frequent enought that I believe I could help maintain the modding community and their updates. I would be very happy to help. I can work on the thread and my modpack at the same time. If you feel I am not suitable, I understand.

Quick question, could you do this but make an icon for the online stage? that would be very fabulous and look finished. I wonder if we could place this over random.

cant place it over random because random is something that doesnt have a value (or at least i dont think it does, its not in the param file through parameters.exe so maybe via hex edit?) so at this time its not possible to replace random with a stage
