Try deleting edge.mbn (if it exists).

Based on my experience modifying the game doesn't modify the save. I've used Neos, Turbo'd, and default all on my save and everything works fine.

Well it sometimes glitched my game but that was mostly because I had so many csps,anyway I doubt that's the case for you so could you show the ui/model/sound folder maybe there's something there that's throwing off something.

I don't see anything wrong, really. Maybe the mod only works on New 3DS's?

yeah, none of them are broken, except for the happy mask salesman import, same issue as this one.

Yeah, Knuckle Joe over Kirby, Shadow over Sonic, Waluigi over Captain Falcon, N64 Ness, N64 Jigglypuff, and Skull Kid over Lucas.

One thing it may be though is it could just be the models are too detailed for the old 3ds to handle but that's just a theory.
