I never understood why people say that the EZ4 has better GBA compatibility than the M3. I have both carts and have never experienced any slowdown or glitches with either one. Of course I don't use the M3 game manager to transfer my games (I use GBATA to SRAM patch and then directly transfer), so maybe this is why I never see the glitches peeps always mention?

Back on topic, here's my comparison of the two carts:

M3 Lite:

+ Loads games in half the time of the EZ4
+ Writes saves in 1/4 the time as the EZ4
+ All games run without special tricks (some EZ4 games MUST be loaded into NOR to run)

EZ4 Lite:

+ Uses standard .sav format, smaller size and allows for easy sharing with VBA (PC emulator)
+ Saves are easier to rename, just change the filename (M3 uses a program to convert them)
+ Can load games into NOR so they instantly load (but takes FOREVER to load into NOR)

Post updated thanks to info from FAST

Nobody is knocking the m3/g6 but I would like to say:

The EZ4 got updated just over a week ago (the previous update was a week or two before that).
GBATA also works with the EZ4 although you will need to copy a save and rename.
I hardly call lack of space necessitating bigger memory a "special trick"

Heya FAST, greets from a fellow sosuke forum member

I wasn't knocking the EZ4 either, it was actually my first cart and a good one at that (I really wish the M3 was as hackable as the EZ4). I just have always wondered why peeps knock M3 GBA compatibility, saying that there are all kinds of glitches, yet no one has ever been able to tell me exactly what these glitches are -- perhaps you can?

Oops, I only quickly glanced at the "Site News" area at the top of sosuke's forum -- guess that's what I get for not checking windirt's thread

So is that the trick. I'll try that out when I get home tonite, thanks.

I was reffering to games such as Yoshi's Island, Ninja Five-0, Double Dragon, etc. needing to be copyed to NOR; otherwise they simply crash at a white screen. I haven't updated my client since October though, so hopefully it's been fixed since then.

Game on!

i love my g6 lite for gba games. Never had one problem with any game. I know it is not expandable but you can fit a ton of gba games on it.

Edit: OHHH 333 i am half evil.

The EZF4 is better than the M3 perfect in terms of GBA compatibility

The M3 is full compatible with all GBA but some of them have glitches/slowdown. The RTC only affect Pokemon and you can patch it so the time does run(in game only, not when you switch it off)
paying twice as much for compatibility with one game more and a bunch of slowdowns in the others(not that bad) is not worth it
Glitches??

Slowdown? What's when I use a Kingston 1GB Japan?

I'm didn't brought it, and I'm about buying the best GBA flashcart too...

I just ordered the EZF4L Deluxe at Bamboogaming.
I'm just wondering if it really takes 14-20 days to ship to Europe :-)
But even so, its so cheap there that its worth to wait a few weeks.

Thanks again for all your answers.
