Yes, over usage of the blooming affect is horrible in some games.
For instance Zangeki no reginleiv and Metroid other M.
But can also be very natulral. Metroid Prime Trilogy, Monster hunter Tri.

MY GOD, that is gorgeous! Looking forward to seeing more.. and hopefully you can figure out if this is possible to do on a actual Wii as my PC is kinda from 06.. and running Dolphin is like a lightyear away from what it can do XD..

    Keep up the amazing work!

You could use dolphin,Riivolution/Gecko, or you could extract and repack the .iso with the new textures.

Though, there is a chance for the textures, if they are vastly larger/unoptimized compared to the vanilla textures, to increase load times or even lag out your game. Playing on an emulator, you have a lot more computing power to run these larger textures without as much of a performance hit. But since the Wii-itself is pretty limited, let alone the GameCube, a texture mod like this may not be quite so practical on the actual hardware.

I was so excited, then I realized it's adding SS style to TP, not the other way around. I want the realistic Zelda style back! I'm sick of this cartoon crap.

    ERROR!
Great news OP, your texture mod is spreading all over news sites! Saw it on gonintendo who linked to nitnedoeverything how linked to gameranx which had a link to this thread! Keep up the good work, looks like your audience is expanding. Would be great to have a livepatch that makes it possible for people to use a legit disc on their Wii like with NSMB.

Too bad the Riivolution team was hellbent on not allowing ISO images to be used. Or replace the texture files and recompile the image.

I'm extremely surprised on how fast it spread so now I have to work harder to meet with demand.

More towards the end of development I'll find a way for a legit implementation.

I, too, loved TP's art style, but unfortunately there are a number of muddy textures that will not stand the test of time. I would've thought it'd be a bigger candidate for an HD remake than Wind Waker (because WW's art aged gracefully), but I guess since TP was also on the Wii, it's already playable on the Wii U so they went with WW.

That said, this retexturing project has certainly gotten my attention. I really enjoyed the art of Skyward Sword and I'm really looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Last I knew, Nintendo explained their decision for Wind Waker being HD-fied as, not that it needed it, but that it was best condusive towards an HD update. For something like Twilight Princess, it would've became nothing but higher-res textures and maybe some higher-poly models, if you're lucky. That wasn't and isn't very impressive (though the market seems to gobble up these "HD" texture updates like candy).

Instead Nintendo found a game where they could readily expand the artstyle, instead of just updating it. If you look at the footage released so far, it's not even a cel-shaded kind of game, as much as it's in this new, quasi-claymation state, which is actually really interesting.

Here are my idea's for the texture modified version of TP:
-ALL of Links and Zelda's design from SS should be EXACTLY like that here(including clothing, textures and their faces)
-Replace Link's voice from TP into his voice from SS
-Replace all of the Item Link used in TP that were used in SS like: The Hero's Bow TP=Hero's Bow SS(or Sacred Bow), Ordon Shield(or Wooden)=Wooden Shield SS, Hylian Shield TP=Hylian Shield SS, Master Sword TP=Master Sword SS, Ordon Sword=Practice Sword, Bombs TP=Bombs SS, etc.
-Replace the Hylian Knights into Skyloft-ian Knights
-Replace some enemies that were in TP and were used in SS
-MAYBE add SS's items that weren't in TP
-MAYBE make bombs scattered around Hyrule and make them storable like in SS
-MAYBE have a stamina bar so Link can run
-Keep the Hidden Skills and MAYBE put in the Skyward Strike
-Have Dark World's music(From a link to the past) in the Twilight Realm and Twilight covered regions
-City in the Sky(the dungeon) should be less gloomy and have a design that looks like the sky from SS(or even put in Skyloft for fun)
-MAYBE add some music from SS

In black, the things almost impossible to do, cause you have to reprogram code, like adding new movements, or new items and his uses.

Anyways, looks pretty nice, i would play again TP, never seen the face in the back of the spider, even i played the game, but god, setting tv to his brightness max, the darkness is too heavy for me, if you release a patch, i'll would download (the patch) and play the game again for sure.

    Keep up!!
