Hacking Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure USB not recognized

I have a Japanese Wii that I softmodded with Mauifrog's guide, so I changed it to a PAL Wii. The revision of the USBLoaderGX is 850 and the cIOS is 249 (rev 17). I bought the PAL version of this game, ripped it and played it. The game opens fine, but the Wii doesn't recognize the usb reciever of the Portal of Power, which is needed to play the game. I've tried installing IOS 222, 223 and 224 with Hermes v4 and v5 on IOS 36,236 and 249, but it still doesn't work... I'm not an expert or anything... Please help me!

Update your cIOS. Most likely the game requires to use base IOS56 or 57.

EDIT: I used this guide http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/topic/599458-updating-wii-cios-to-play-newer-wii-games/, then used this guide http://sites.google.com/site/completesg/cios/waninkoko (because I was using USB Loader GX and it didn't work without using the second guide even though I did it some time earlier) AND IT WORKED!!!! THANKYOU WiiPower you're my SAVIOUR!!!!
