Hacking Sky3ds+ updating question...

Hi guys, I followed the instructions to update the firmware on my Sky3ds+ to the latest version, and what they said would happen didn't happen. I never saw a red light indicating updating, it just turned green for a second and then off. Any ideas? Could my card already have the latest version?

Q: I've just got my new sky3DS+ card, how do i know which firmware version it is?
A: Insert one empty microSD card(FAT32) in your sky3DS+ card, and put in your 3DS console, a new settings.txt file will be created automatically in microSD card, open it, you can find the firmware version in the line: "FIRMWARE_VERSION=xxx".

PS. My Sky3ds+ came with latest firmware.
