Hacking (Sky3DS) Transferring save from ROM to online copy using Save Data Transfer tool

Hi, I'm currently planning to buy MH4U (as I really need online mode) from Nintendo eshop and then transfer my save data from Sky3DS cardridge to the online copy of MH4U via Sava Data Transfer Tool. Is this possible? Has anyone tried that?
