The advantages that Gateway have over Sky3ds+ can be easily obtained with homebrew/any other means (like hardmod)? (sorry if made some mistakes, English is not my main language)

Sky3DS can be used on 11.0 FIRM so thats somewhat of an advantage for loading homebrew entry points

Sky3DS is only good if you can't downgrade for custom firmware. no, you can't use Gateway-like features (on-screen rom selector) with it.

Gateway is only good if you already have the card.

otherwise both are a waste of money and get you less features than custom firmware. free beats 80 bucks and gets you more.

How is the launch of Gateway games? Asking this because I'm going to buy Pokébank, which I'm sure Sky3ds+ supports, but I'm not sure if Gateway does, as there are almost zero videos about Gateway.

...Pokebank isn't something you "buy" it's a subscription service.
