I got it from gamemaniaz.com I have just tried the game card donkey kong and resident evil revelations has the error gamecard won't work. Animal crossing makes me power off due to an error and Pokemon x says save file corrupt all other games are working though

yes im english and yes i ordered from a german site the reason being i live and work in germany. So the logic is pretty simple really and a dumb question what didnt need answering or asking but here you go.

neimod the 3DS hacking scene god has said that Sky3DS is easily detectable and blocking it only requires 1 line of code. Source is in IRC. just dig in the forums and you can find countless IRC chat copies with this statement.

Because this simple fix could probably come with severe repercussions.

For example

Sky3DS emulating a cart.
Simple fix = change cart signs to block it.
Repercussions = All legit retail carts on the market right now will be rendered useless because no updated hardware.

Sky3DS going online with the same key range (which means every single Sky3DS owner uses the same key range)
Simple fix = block the keys Sky3DS uses/Make a new key
Repercussions = All legit retail carts with the same key range will be rendered useless.

Sky3DS spoofing ROM headers to act like a retail cart
Simple fix = block ROM headers that Sky3DS uses
Repercussions = All legit retail carts with the same ROM headers will be rendered useless..

Get where I'm going with this? Which is why Nintendo most likely just focused on minor bug fixes and emuNAND since that's more damaging on the long run with these minor 9.x updates.

We shall see but who is to say gateway won't also be blocked for good at the end of the day it's only an exploit so rather than hating on sky3ds and saying it's all about gateway lets just wait and see what happens cos at the minute nobody knows if and when the gateway update is coming and sky3ds works right now

You're not getting the point, Gateway can bypass the blocks by releasing an update(which is what GW has been doing for a year+ already), Sky3DS is incapable of doing so with their cart, which is why they had to release a new cart to break the game limit.

Sky3DS might be able to bypass the block, but they will have to release a different cart.

I get the point entirely but if Nintendo block gateways exploit then even updating the card might not work for that this happened on the ds the gateway isn't some magical forever updatable exploit as is neither the sky3ds

False. Gateway has full control over the 4.5 (and 9.2 soon) 3DS because it can control the kernel completely. So whatever new security measure Nintendo thinks of, Gateway can just patch it out and neutralize it.

And on the other hand, Sky3ds only has the priviledges of a gamecard, so it cannot patch anything at all. So you will be stuck until Sky3ds releases a new card (which may be never if they don't overcome the block)

Yes, Gateway is updatable forever with emunand. That's exactly the point ppl are trying to get across here.

BUT: You ofcourse need an entrypoint 3DS which is at 4.5 or 9.2
