Hacking Skin help plz!

I just ordered an M3 DS Real, and I wanted to make a skin for it. People say that to test out their's, they use the M3 Real Skin Editor. How do I use it? And yes, I know, I am a noob..... And btw, is there anywhere that I can find a guide for skin-making or something?

just place the skin files in the skin1 folder and click on home
its html based so it will open in your browser with a pictures of a ds with the skin loaded inside of it

You can also use the original skin files from the m3 real firmwares and match dimensions to each skin file and create your own from there and test with the skin editor to help. Just remember that the skin file "top_desktop.bmp" has to be in 8-bit format along with main_create.bmp and main_load.bmp (these last 2 are for the images that show when you've launched a game)
