Hacking sims castaway

i am trying to load sims castaway (ntsc) on configurable usb loader. when i try to load it i get a black screen.
i am using cios rev 14 on a pimp'd 4.1U.

i have tried using hermes 222 and 249 without any luck. i have tried changing all the options (002 fix, video patches, etc.).
i also IOS patched the ISO to use 249 to no avail.

has anyone else got this working on a usb loader?

any help would be appreciated

i found the USA release is a bad rip. get the pal version for it to work on usb loader
