Single player or multiplayer

Completely depends on the game. I enjoy playing with someone right next to me rather than being online, due to lag, internet issues, etc. Single player can get boring at times. But, honestly I enjoy multiplayer a lot more when I'm having fun rather than single playing having fun..if that makes sense.

So, for me, local multiplayer > online multiplayer > single player.

I usually do single player. I don't like online very much because lag, hacking, cheating, glitching, being matched with overpowered people who have played nonstop since the game released, etc. Local multiplayer is nice sometimes, like when playing Mario kart.

I know stuff like this is true but I honestlt was just speaking about games that is just basic multiplayer. Not like MMO or battle arena or team based ones like Monster hunter, call of duty, or final fantasy. I mean more like stuff where you just play with a person for short while and then move on to next person like fighting games or something.

But to be honest, it wasn't easy to write up every single detail about what I mean because of contrasting ideas of what you find in multiplayer. Basically any multiplayer games that doesn't allow players to play with a progression system like the ones I mentioned already. Cheats/hacks/ or glitches are also obviously exclusions.

Depends on the game really.

These days I almost never play local multiplayer. Most of my friends have different schedules that make it difficult to organize a local gaming session, and they're generally too busy most days to drive on over to my house, or vice versa, so therefore it's online or nothing. The most local multiplayer stuff I do is with my fiancee, whenever she feels like playing Mario Kart or Farm Together or Stardew Valley or LBP together, and that's pretty much it.

But I also don't play too many games with online multiplayer anymore either, once again because my friends are usually too busy to hop on for more than just one match of XYZ game and, as most of us know, playing online without friends is pretty much garbage for the most part. These days it's mostly just one round of TABG or maybe a quick round of Worms, then they're off to do whatever else.

So I guess, in that regard, I play more games singleplayer than anything for the moment.

Mostly a single player person, however, I do play fighting games online occasionally. A good chunk of games that I play are done through emulation, so it can be difficult to find someone else who emulates and is willing to do a netplay session.

A lot of guys I know play Fortnite online a lot, though I'm not quite sure I have the courage for that.
