Not kidding.
And no, Android doesn't store the information the same way OSX does.

It does drop some folders into the root of the SD card. You're probably better off trying this on a proper computer instead of an Android device.

to those who had success, did you reformat or no?

I didn't have to format anything. All I did was to make sure that I used menuhax, make sure the md5 on the cia zip file was valid, and, on my 2nd attempt, run FTBRONY before running sysupdater, as was suggested on sysupdater's download page.

you sure you downloaded the correct CIA? entrypoint? please give us more information so we can avoid more brickes on other peoples' 3DS

Yes, I'm Sure. I think that the problem was that when the message "Getting CIA file informations..." appeared on the screen. I left the console alone for 5-6 minutes thinking that the process will be done when I come back and when I see the console 'Frozen' in that screen I think that was a problem of the entrypoint but really it was installing the cias and when I turned off the console I bricked it. I'm not sure but it's the only theory that I have.

Successfully downgraded my N3ds using Julian's version of sysupdater that was posted in this thread.
Original FW: 10.3
Entrypoint: Menuhax
Hax: 2.5 beta
Tries: About 20
Advice: Make sure you use Julian's version of sysupdater. Make sure your CIA bundle is correct. Stay Determined ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Hello, how do I determine my CIA bundle is correct? The zip I have is named "9.2.0-20E(Full)_n3DS" and is 141mb compressed. Is this correct? Thank you

an error occurred while loading the payload. Make sure your launcher is located at: /rxTools/sys/code.bin

Apparently I do not have a /sys/ folder.

Added details on how to get firmware CIAs to the OP. I have no idea if I'm allowed to tell you how to Google something, so if I'm not, mods can feel free to tell me so or whatever. Also added some info on how you can verify the files you have, just so you can prevent bricking futher.

Does formatting make all my saves stored on my SD card unusable? Or once its reformatted, I can sign into my NNID and restore purchases and everything is fine and dandy?

DOWNGRADE WAS SUCCESSFUL!

Old 3DS 10.3.0-29E --> 9.2.0-20E
Used menuhax 2.1 with julian20's build of sysUpdater
Update pack from that iso site, not JustPingo's
Checked md5 hash of zip file and checked all md5 hashes of each cia after copying with TeraCopy
Got to sysUpdater menu on first try
Downgraded on first try
Reboot in 10 seconds was successful and HOME Menu started without any black screen (with SD Card inserted)
Everything working properly. Thanks everyone for your help!

N3DSXL on 10.3.28U, using julian20's latest sysUpdater:
Menuhax, getting stuck everytime on #5 or #7 .
Ironhax, getting stuck occasionally, sometimes completing all 8 successfully, but no further menu.

Hard reset each time, no bricks (yet)

Reformatted N3DS, currently reformatting microSD and starting fresh.

FWIW, I could never get DEADCAFE on the memchunkhax2 POC test.
