Not true, I didn't have to format.

no it didn't brick. The only ways I know of to brick it are overwrite your recovery or installation with invalid files, or corrupt it while it's in progress. You'll know when it's installing. That's just a check to see if it can read the CIAs.. just restart your system by holding power (maybe there's another way, but that's what worked for me) unless you can exit back ot homebrew

I got it on my 2nd try. Try running FTBrony, closing it, then running sysupdater.

Not need though, as I didn't format before downgrade. Pretty sure lots other N3DS user didn't need to either.

Got it to boot after launching FTBrony and exiting. Failed on getting CIA info. Using the (Full) package from that ISO site. I can just reboot this thing and try again right?

those who didn't get it working (softbrick and then having to update) formatted their 3DS and it fixed it
