I also have this. Try the recovery mode L+R+A+Up while powering on.

Open an 3ds app (music) and close it if you are using browserhax use it as normal but for menu hax while in the app hold power button then hold L while returning to home. It's probably easier to just use another method like iron hax.

Yes, i use browserhax. And if I open music before, the browserhax just open the music instead the Homebrew Launcher, and freeze the 3DS if you try to go back to menu.

I interpreted that as, not having a nand backup already, not, not having a hardmod already.

I was kind of trying to make two point there. You can't backup sysnand through software methods above 9.2, which anyone trying this would have. And you cant fix a brick by getting a hardmod after the fact.
