i have old 3ds lx with 10.6-31E .... can i downgrade to 9.2 safely ? and what do i need in exact ? do i need specific game card game ? or any thing .. or just the console ?

You'll need any entry point to homebrew, be it Ocarina of Time 3D + PowerSaves or Cubic Ninja, anything. As long as you can access the homebrew channel you can downgrade from 10.6+

What entrypoint are you using? On my New 3DS, the first time I downgraded it kept failing over and over again, until I did a system format and then tried again. I don't know what exactly made it different, but it worked.
Do note tho, a system format will give you a new friend code, and unless you backup your saves first using SVDT or similar, they will be lost. You will also have to redownload games.

Also note that when I did this, it was back when sysUpdater wasn't even quite ready yet, so it might be better now, maybe it's a different issue.

You must be using an Asian 3DS (not necessarily JP). I read somewhere that those cannot be hacked yet. I think those kind of units were the ones manufactured in Taiwan, China, etc.

Actually, no. I'm using Oothax with a North American O3DS. xD

BrowserHax and MenuHax aren't that hard to follow. I personally suggests using them as a gateway point for your homebrew.

I recommend you to do a system format. Seems to fix the softbrick upon downgrading issue.

Isn't it possible to install CIAs on 10.7? Is it possible to downgrade the browser? Just a theory.

Tried installing a legit CIA on 10.7 and didn't work. Update files work, though. I've never heard of downgrading the browser.

I have an Old 3DS, I'll update it to 10.7 and try downgrading the browser and tell you if it works.
