Can you still downgrade even if your entrypoint is menuhax?

The 4.5 firmware doesn't have home menus, does it?

oh, ignore my post. I thought you had to downgrade to 4.5, not 9.2 lol

You can downgrade with any entrypoint.
4.5 has a home menu, they all do - unless you mean has MenuHax support, which I don't know. "Every version starting with 9.0 is supported unless mentioned otherwise" as stated on the GitHub page

get an "There was an error. Hold the POWER button pressed" error after successfuly downgrade with plaisysupdater after turing on 3ds( with and without microsd)
entrypoint : ninjahax
fw: 10,7
console: n3ds EU

already recovered 3ds something like 5 or 6 times to 10,7
already formatted sd with sdformatter ( and place backup sd files\folders to sd)
if this matter owner had "theme shuffle" enable and badge arcade icons ( after first recovery badges are gone :) they are still can be placed from theme menu, but no more in home menu)
i suspect "theme shuffle" option because fw 9,2 has no such option

and real question is: can i format 3ds without sd and then again link nnid to fresh formatted 3ds?
( put old save files\content to SD:\Nintendo 3ds\ID_NEW\ID_NEW2\ ?)
hell i wish i could just wipe sd\3ds but owner need his pokemon picross save

Theme data is saved to the SD card, so it should work without SD card no matter. If you format your 3DS without a NAND backup or backup of saves done with SVDT or anything similar, they will be LOST.
What .zip are you using to downgrade?

i know what you are trying to do =)
all updates files are ok ( they are all pass cheskums)
and if they are invalid - no succesfull downgrade in the first place.

thoughts and solution that i think can work
i can backup nand and the format 3ds, downgrade, set up cfw, update cfw to 10,7 and then restore sysnand backup to emunand.
amirite? =)

Well I certainly do trust you know what you're doing, based on your experience. How are you going to do a NAND backup on 10.7 tho? Does it have a hardmod? If so by all means. In theory, I believe you can restore certain files to then be able to read the saves again after formatting. Talking about files found within NAND, such as movable.sed - what exact files you need exactly I'm a little unsure of right now, does someone know? I believe Plailect's A9LH install guide does this at one point.

oh shiiii-
right, forget about no backup without hardmode on 10,7
so if i format 3ds, downgrade, set up cfw, update it and put folders (dbs, extdata, title) from sd backup to new profile folder SD:\Nintendo 3ds\ID_NEW\ID_NEW2\
it should work?

No, those will not be readable anymore after formatting, unless you have a NAND backup.

so simply format 3ds ( goodbye save ;) ) solve the problem

ps in case anyone interesting, owner was slighty dissapointed in save lost but slightly happy with 65535 picrites

So how do I do this but keep my ability to use online functions?
You either setup an EmuNAND with CFW on it or A9LH to use CFW on your SysNAND. You can also use EmuNAND with A9LH if desired.

Edit: This assumes you update to latest after setting up the CFW, sorry.

Should I still be using the sysupdater in OP's post? I tried PlaiSysUpdater but it gives me "An error has occured" after I hit "Downgrade to 9.2"

Does the 3DS get downgraded without any errors in SysUpdayer and the error occurs when you reboot?
I'll try again to see what it says, but its before it actually starts the downgrade.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Okay I enter PlaiSysUpdater. Next press "Y" for "Press (Y) to downgrade to 9.2.0..."
Says some stuff in green (like 4 lines) and then it goes and has "An error has occured". Is this because of the exploit being unstable?

Wait, so nothing is actually installed? You get an error when it's checking the cia files?

Yes. Should I keep trying to should I use a different downgrader?

I'm going to try redownloading the cia files and putting them back in.

I figured I'd ask here, okay, so I have that same "error has occurred" thing after downgrading a o3DS from 10.7, I was wondering if I can continue the downgrade using OOThax, by accessing the cart directly at boot by using the button combination. Does this work, or have I again encountered the "format before downgrading" solution that seems to be the only solution that works? I wish it didn't come down to a format :(

Try Oothax first and restart sysupdater.
