At first read the following unrelated questions deserve a RTFW response. However, I have been reading for about 2 hours per day for 10 days and now am more confused than when I started, so here goes.
Q1) If I want to play my backups from an external USB hard drive, what should I be looking for ? (Just seen new sticky, please ignore this one)
Q2) I have a hardware configuration that should load homebrew channel 0.8 beta from the ISO, but where Internet connection is out of the question. How do I upgrade to the latest ?
Q3) There has been lots of incidental comments about softmod without a game exploit. Is this just a theoretical possibility or has it been done ? (I would prefer the answer as one of discussion/possible/released for each of the firmware versions 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 & 4. I appreciate the information will be stale as soon as it is posted)
