And it basically means they can fix any issue, if it's something like the game slot they will replace just that, but if it's a unfixable fault they can just swap the motherboard out.....just note the "Minimum Cost : 35.00 €" I.e only the cheapest work is €35, if they actually need to do anything more than reseat a cable or replace something cheap like the analogue stick they will probably want more once they receive your console

Hi guys, sorry I'm new to the whole forum, but i was said that the solution for putting cfw on a 11.3 3ds is only in this thread. Any news?

When the exploit people are talking about here comes out, you can install cfw on an 11.3 3ds. It's rumored to come out soon, but nobody is entirely sure. BUT!!! This will only work if you have a second 3ds with cfw already installed to system transfer from!

Ouch... I've got just my regular 3ds, don't have anything else... can't do really nothing??

or a hardmod (and hedge have to dump boot9)

what's a hardmod? or just say to me i will be able to, then I'll check it when it's out :)
a hardmod is basically direct access to your nand, by soldering wires to an sd card reader and also to your NAND chip, which gives you direct read and write access to your nand chip, you just need some soldering skills/a shop who will do it/somone who is good at soldering

Long time lurker who decided to make an account here just to finally be able to ask my stupid questions so I'm sorry in advance.

So let's say I do not have soldering skills, do not have a trustworthy shop, or know someone with said soldering skills; do not know anyone with a 3ds with a CFW; and live in a place where prices are crazy.

How SoL am I that my 3ds had been updated by the time i got my hands on it once more to actually try to hack it.

If your willing to pay there is 2 reputable modders based in Brazil who do hardmods here

http://gbatemp.net/threads/list-of-hardmod-installers-by-region.414224/

(But ofc you will still need to wait for sighax to be released.........if ever ^_^)
Waiting for a release is no problem, I would need to save up for it, anyway - but for now, I'll just keep using soundhax and be glad that I can at least have this much ^_^ I'm not in any rush.

Thank you for the help! I'll keep this link saved and hopefully by then I might be able to do something about it.

It would be cheaper to buy another console and sell your old one. The going rate for a hardmod is about $50 plus postage back and forth. If you buy another console and sell your old one then you'll only lose the difference between the two. If you get a good deal that could be zero or even a profit. Plus you don't have to wait for sighax to come out, plus the time it takes to get the hardmod done.

I considered that, but even an o3ds can still be pretty expensive in here. On the plus side, you can buy some that already have CFW installed. I'll be weighing my options and see what I can do from here, I guess.

Thank you very much for the help, guys!

very unlikely to get a new arm9 exploit, since there was no new one in 11.X it was just the old one from 9.2 which could also be used exploiting SAFE_FIRM , all we get for 11.3 are an arm11 khexploit and sighax through dsiwarehax/hardmod
Just wondering. Why hasn't Nintendo updated their SAFE_FIRM yet since 9.5 or later? I wouldn't doubt that applying the same firmlaunchhax patch to SAFE_FIRM as well would be extremely hard, since they already did it for NATIVE_FIRM long ago. Idrc personally for me, since if they ever do, it won't matter because I have had A9LH for almost 1 year now. Patiently waiting for Hedgeberg's progress as time goes along like the rest of us for prot_boot9.bin dumping for sighax release. :)

to answer you question: simply nobody thought that you can reproduce firmlaunchhax in safe_firm, also it would be likely to brick the 3ds if the safe_firm would be updated, anyways they fixed safefirmlaunchhax, I sadly don't have the technical details over here but I'd love to actually have them:rofl:
