I've probably got the sturdiest, most professional jig here /s

Even though it's ugly as crap, it gets me to recovery mode... I think. My micro SD card hasn't come in yet so I haven't been able to install anything.

can someone please post images next to a ruler
calipers would be ideal but i do not have any
i want to try and make a labo style jig out of layers of cardboard and tin foil
maybe that thin cardboard like they use to make those boxes that sweaters come in from department stoores
glued together in layers

I feel like this is one of the easiest jig to replicate. Screw cable, screw paperclip, tin foil all the way !

(just make sure that some tin foil doesn't fall inside tho)

Yeah, it took me about 5 tries before I got a piece of foil that shorted the pins successfully. It took me another 2 to make one that I felt like would work almost 100% of the time.

I actually just sticked a little piece of tin foil to pin 9 an 10 xD And I don't even have to remove it. The joycon still works fine (y)

My rail finally arrived in the post. Works like a charm.

Pins 1 and 10

A lot safer than a printed jig that 'might' damage your pins after extended use. This is no more stressful on your switch than attaching a normal joycon

Pretty simple.

Interesting! I printed out the same jig to replace my first print of the original F0F jig, but found it almost impossible to feed the wire through the holes; it's pretty much sealed despite me being able to see the channel for it through the jig (used clear PLA). Printed at 100 microns so the resolution should be fine enough.

Did you need to pilot the holes with a sewing pin or something like that first?
